Exhaust bellows keep coming off

Exhaust bellow keeps coming off on my Alpha One Mercruiser. Tried 2 diff brands of bellows: Merc and Sierra, I used a new tube of Merc Bellow adhesive, I wait at least a day for the boat side to dry before trying to attach outdrive side. I have the surfaces super clean each time. Temp's outside are in 80's. I have the bellow on as far as it will go on which is over an inch. I follow directions on bellow adhesive...put one once tacky and yet they pull off once tilted all the ay up. I have tried about 5 times and nothing seems to keep it from doing this. Idea's ?
 
I think so. I put the hose clamps on each time and had them on tight. There are only a few positions it can be in to allow access to tighten it so I can't imagine it has to be in a different place. I have tried having the tightening nut on the side, and on the bottom, both resulted in it coming off once the trim is brought up. Any ideas?
