Exhaust Bellow

Hello...

I have an omc with an volvo sx outdrive. I would like to replace the exhaust bellows. It appears the old one is completely gone. I have been told that the drive needs to be removed to put the new one on but by looking at the pictures, it looks like I could install with out taking the drive off. Am I wrong? Thanks for your help.

Best I remember on the SX is that the exhaust bellows attaches to the bellhousing by a snapring. To get to the snapring the drive has to come off. The transom sheild side is no big deal.
