Excess oil in the engine well.

Good Morning. I would like some advice. I have a 3 liter Merc inboard. Recently I noted that the sump well contains a sticky brown oil (lube?) lighter than water and doesn`t seem to go through the bilge. What I have also found is what I can only describe as "Bath Beads" (about the size of a grape) that seem to contain this material. I have removed about 5 of these so far. I have no idea what these are or where /what this lube is from. Any comments would be appreciated.

Ayuh,.... Sounds like ya got an oil leak,...

The Only way to find a leak, whether oil or water, or whatever, is to Look...
