I have an 85 Evinrude 120, that I disabled the VRO on. It will stay running as long as you pump the BULB on the fuel line. When you stop pumping the bulb it will run for about 30 second give or take 10 sec and then shut off. It will not start again until you prime the bulb again. I have check alll the fuel lines for crack, because I first thought that it was an air leak for something. I'm starting to think its the fuel pump. I primed the bulb and then took the fuel exit line off the top of the fuel pump. It did pump fuel but not continuously, Is this normal for these pump. Its almost like it pumped fuel in pulses...

not sure if its original or not. I figured it used something like that. should it pump fuel all the time the engine is running or should it just pump fuel out once in a while....

well then I have to believe that the fuel pump is working fine then. Im at a loss with this one.. I quess I have to do some futher inspection on the fuel line hoses. The only other thing is a hole in one of the fuel lines drawing in air.
