Evinrude starter 0587007 Problems

Have a starter that would not turn over fast enough to start. The dealer said a Torsion spring was broken.
He said need a new starter and no where to be found . I looked the starter over and looked everywhere,
to try and find some. Is there anywhere I can get them. The Torsion springs is on the bushings.
 
Its a Evinrude E90DSLAFD 2017
The place where I took it too, said that it would be in Sept. sometime before they would be able to get one. We already paid for one a month ago. I finally got to thinking yesterday , to try and fix something up with the part that is broken. I turned the spring over and did some twisting on it and
was surprise it worked. I know that it is only a short term fix , but it works. This other dealer close to me said that as far as he knows , there is no plans in making any in the future.

I'll try this place and see about springs and see if they do have a starter. Thanks for the reply.
 
No this is Evinrudes new MO. They are not longer producing many things and everything else is "backordered". I expect Evinrude parts to dry up until only the aftermarket remains. Thanks Bombardier.

So I guess the one dealer is likely right then , where there is none and going to be none in the future.
It would be nice, if there was a after market parts being made.
