put the carb back together and

put the carb back together and the damn thing started up will throttle up to high speed but if i try to go slower than start the engine stalls. i am using sunnoco 94 octaine gas and outboard oil at a 24:1 mix i also noticed a lot of oil on the top of the tank i am running it in (testing in my backyard) am wondering if this is just from putting oil in the cylenders to ghet it free (was siezed up) or if i may be leaking from the lower end?pump seems to spit water well(at least 2 feet behind the tank)and i have not tried with the prop on or in gear?

"it sounds like u may be looki

"it sounds like u may be looking at the writing on the handle....pay no attn to that,..as long as it idles good and accelerates well,..try it in lake..adjust idle mixture to obtain fastest idle, then back out a hair."

"I agree with above post, try

"I agree with above post, try it in a lake as the motor should be under load. Its not great to run them with no prop as its easy to over rev. Also I'm wondering about the fuel? Maybe some else can say for sure but is too high an octane?"

thanks for all the info guys i

thanks for all the info guys i has been much apreciatted.i am not able to try it in the lake yet as the motor is nt properly wired up. an electrician from work jury rigged it so that i could try to get it running so now i guess i need to find a proper wiring diagram to get everything into its proper place.any suggestions would be great. would like to be starting with a key on the lake not a screwdriver
