Evinrude interchange with Johnson lower units

I have a 1992 115 johnson Sea Pro that the pistons and power head are screwed up on. I am purchasing a Evinrude 120 Looper 1994 model .... the guy i am buying it from rebuilt the engine and hasnt finished rebuilding the lower unit. he is willing to lessen the cost of the motor if the lower unit from my motor will interchange with the one i am buying. Can anyone answer that for sure before I put a deposit down on this rebuilt engine.

The book says they have the same gear ratio.-----------------Make sure driveshaft length is the same and check shift rod dimensions as well.
