I have looked high and low for a intake gasket for a 1998 8hp e8freca
part number 0446065
if anybody can help that may have other places to look it would be greatly appreciated

Yep. I've made similar gaskets for my jet skis many times. Just get a sheet of hi-temp gasket material, trace the intake, and cut it with a sharp utility knife or X-acto knife. For the bolt holes I use a 1/4" hollow punch. To get a good outline of the intake you can spray it with copper spray then place it on the sheet of gasket material.

When installing the gaskets I use copper spray on both sides then assemble. These homemade gaskets have worked perfectly for me and never failed.

I believe the part # discussed is for a 4 stroke motor and listed as NLA------------Much easier to get parts for some 40 year old 2 strokes !!
