Evinrude Ficht 2000 model 225hp check engine light on and off

Hello! I was running about 40 mph on the lake and the buzzer went off. It didn't go into safe mode, I shut it down too see. waited a few, light flickered on and off.
Take off again and motor runs fine, but the light goes on then off then on back and fourth.. Now every time I restart motor, buzzer stays on an additional 20 30 secs.
then goes off and stays off but CE light is on till I get moving good, then starts its flickering.. Guys I'm new to the mechanical side of this. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated....
 
Connect to the engine with EVDIAG and see what codes are showing. It sounds to me you have an overheating condition, but pulling the codes is the best way to know for sure.
 
I've installed that on my computer, but haven't a clue how to use it. I've' looked up videos for this and only found how to check injectors or power packs for this motor.
