Evinrude clicking sound

I have an Evinrude 1988 90HP a

I have an Evinrude 1988 90HP and it it is making a clicking / knocking sound. The battery died yesterday so I took it home and recharged it boat started and ran for a few minutes and then started clicking or sort of knocking. I took it out and ran it full throttle and it ran up for a minute and then it would only go half speed.Then I sat there for a minute and it would not idle. It kept cutting off. So I limped back to the dock and it completely died.The engine would not turn over after that and the battery was dead.Will a bad battery cause the engine to act this way?? any help appreciated}

went to check the compression

went to check the compression and there is water in the 1 and two cylinder.. just replaced that head gasket about 2 months ago..it also feels like the engine is seized the head wont budge should I just replace the gasket again?? will the engine free up ?? think motor is shot??

"head is prob warped...head must be torqued to 20 ft pounds...w/new gasket.....if u cant turn flywheel,remove lower unit to verify powerhd lockup...eng will not just free up,u need to determine the prob,water intrusion,may/may not be the only prob,right now,lube the cyl's and try to wk it free,...pull the other head off and inspect."
