Anybody knows if Evinrude Carbon Guard would help an older outboard motor. (Evinrude 1992). Evinrude says “Per OMC BRP Bombardier (Evinrude - Johnson) recommendations: Add Carbon Guard to the fuel tank each time you add gasoline.
For 2 cycle and direct injection engines add 1 ounce of carb guard for every 8 gallons of gasoline” For 4 Stroke engines add 1 ounce of Carbon Guard for every 16 gallons of gasoline. Can I just insert some in each cylinder via the spark plug holes and then turn the engine over? Also if it goes in the fuel tank can I add 2-3 ounces for ever 8 gallons instead of the recommend ion of I once Thank you.
