So when I install the new impeller you have to bend the rubber veins into the housing, do they curve clockwise or counter clockwise in the housing looking down on it. Not sure which way the drive shaft turns ?
 
as you hold the housing in your left hand. coat the impeller in a light coat of vasaline and rotate it into the housing turning it clockwise.
 
Jim, are you 100% sure the impeller goes that way ?------------For many years I have installed them the other way.
 
Hold the housing upside down in your left hand. Spin the impeller with your right hand into the housing in a "Counter Clockwise" motion.

When you upright the housing, the impeller will be facing in the proper rotation direction of the engine (Clockwise).

You're welcome Jim. I know that was just a slight oversight and we both know that regardless of which way it is installed that the engine would have the blades aimed properly within a few revolutions. My reply was not intended to be a correctional or offensive one.... just wanted the boater to understand the engine's normal rotation.
