Evinrude 70hp ex RNLI outboard choke problems

Recently stopped "clicking" when pushed in.

Will start by opening manual choke, but is a pain removing cover all the time.

Any help appreciated.
 
Check to see if there is 12 volts being applied to the choke solenoid when it is engaged.

Check to make sure that the ground wire from the choke solenoid to ground is okay and tightly secured.

If the above two area check out like they should, in all probability the solenoid has failed.
