- How to Remove heat sender unit from Evinrude 70HP Engine?!!!!

- How to test if sender is good, only one tan wire attached, no gauges, No alarm fitted

The alarm is in the control box it's a warning horn to test the horn ground out the tan wire.

Heat sender unit is not connected to any source of power... completely disconnected....... Can I test sender in Engine without removing it from engine and how to do test as i don't know if sender is good or faulty?

I have never seen one go bad. The sender only works when it gets hot.

Thanks for your reply!! is there anyway possible of checking whether the Sender is working correctly... just to be sure!!

You will have to remove it and test that it grounds the tan wire when it gets hot.

It looks as though replacements have a ground wire as well as the tan wire

looking for information On Evinrude 70 HP.....Red Purple wire connected to push button starter also red yellow wire connected to push button starter going to starter solenoid... does the Red Yellow wire need to be earthed?

NO absolutely not. You would have a direct short to ground every time you pressed the start button.
