"Hi all. I have just bought a 70hp Evinrude outboard. It was removed from a fellow boaters fisher but all the wiring from engine to battery and boat was left on the boat. Ive fitted new pos and neg battery leads but i can go no further. can anyone please please tell me which wires are to be used for the starter, choke and stop, and anything else that i need to connect. As far as i can see, all the wires on the engine are original so please treat this as explaining this to a complete fool. im worse than useless when it comes to electrics.
