"Need some info on a water pum

"Need some info on a water pump for the above model. Where is it? How do I get to it, etc.?
Bought this motor last year to use as a slough motor while duck hunting. It ran great all year last year. We ran it up the river this year, put it on our small boat and then went back to hunt the next morning on opening day and it started, ran a little ways up the slough and then I realized it was getting to hot.

Any info on repairs, schematics, parts, would be appreciated.

the water pump should be located in the exhaust tower.....youll have to remave the lower unit, its a very simple job especially on a smaller ob.

you can get some pages from the repair book on googlebook.com but not the complete manual. i dont know if it has the water pump remove/replace in it.

may also look at the thermastats.....if its been a while since they have been changed i would replace the pump and therms."

You will have to separate the two halves of the shift rod, the lower half is #35 in the diagram. I think the joint on this one is accessible after dropping the gearcase a little.

Now is the time to consider new seals if you are getting any water into the gear lube.

Alternatively leave the poor ducks alone. What have they done to you?

i agree ran over a duck the other day in my ten ft jon hehehehe he tried to run but ducks dont go 30mph
