Took it out of a 10+ year storage.
Cleaned the carb
Verified spark for both cylinders is good
Used gas and starting fluid but can't get it to start, it won't even fire
Pulled the crank all darn day.
Mystery to me.

I used starting fluid with upper cyl. lube.
I used a spark tester to check for spark and I checked the tester on another motor.
I used sea foam also.
I took the flywheel off and points and everything looked good.
Still won't fire - never experienced this before.
Got fuel and spark, it should fire.

Have you checked for compression and how did you check the spark? After ten years in storage the seals are probably dry do not use starting flui9d it has no oil? Pull the plugs and put a couple tablespoons of fuel mix in the plug holes and then see if she fires off. Mix your fuel rich at first to lube the inners good for the initial fire off. Get a can of seafoam spray and spray it in the carb as your cranking on the motor will also lube the inners and get the seals working again.

Oh yeah, I checked the compression the best I could with a recoil starter rope.
Had to pull it through several times to get max reading.
One cyl. is off by about 25 lbs, but it should still fire shouldn't it???

Model number 4606M
Cyl. #1 -90
Cyl. #2 - 65

Is it a real bitch to do a ring job on this motor? I've overhauled lawnmowers before.

1976 model----Remove the flywheel and inspect ignition coils.----Likely they will be cracked or 2 new ones have been installed already.
