"I've got a 2HP 1985 Evinr

"I've got a 2HP 1985 Evinrude model E2RCOC. It is in good shape, runs a little rough at idle (may need a carb cleaning).

Three questions:

1. How can I determine the value of such a motor? The NADA guide says something like $50, but I figure it has to be worth more than that.

2. It probably sat for a few years without running. Would a carb cleaning or rebuild be in order? Where can I find info on performing that task? Where can I get parts?

3. Fuel line is cracked from age (not yet leaking). Where can I find hose of same size rated for fuel? Do auto parts stores have such stock?

"determining the value,would be tough...ck in ur area...like craigslist,used boat books,boat trader etc....call a local shop.
u need to clen the carb,inst new wtr pump,and lower unit oil...ck the compression and spark,before u begin.."

Will You pay more than 50$ for a 25 year engine that probably may cost You another 50 to get running properly?"
