25hp Evinrude, starts and idles at it should with no alarm. after accelerating 1500 rpms (estimate) the alarm speaker in the throttle control starts to chirp rhythmically, and then the chirp increases in speed as the rpms increase. I haven't pushed it much at all because i dont know whats up, but the boat will accelerate and get up on plane as normal but the alarm sound continues. This sounds very different to me than the normal high temperature alarm sound as when i throttle back down to idle it stops completely, immediately. Motor is pumping water normally. Impeller and thermostat replaced beginning of last season and everything operated normallly last season. What are the possible causes for this?
