Evinrude 1986 With Talon Ind Tilt Query

I have a 1986 Evinrude Motor with a Talon Ind Tilt that is working fine lifting and lowering the Outboard but it won't keep the outboard in the upright position for more then a few minutes. If anyone has any plans for the inside workinmgs for this tilt or know what could be causing the problem could you please get in touch with me. I would like to try and replace the O rings to see if this solves the problem.View attachment 6746View attachment 6747
