Evinrude 1970 9.5 Speedtwin

Hello Boys and Girls. I am currently restoreing a 1970 9.5 Speedtwin, and have stripped it ready for sand blasting and repaint. The problem I have is disconnedting the mixture adjuster from the carb. Any advice and instructions would be appreciated.

The only mixture adjustment is the slow speed needle valve. The knob pulls off, the valve unscrews. What problem have you encountered?

Doh ! Obviously the problem is me, LOL. I have pulled it, pushed it, turned back and forward, but not enough to notice that it would un screw. Thanks for the answer to that problem. The next items on the job list is to remove the sheared bolts that occured during the strip, even when using as much heat as I dared, probably drill and tap, and then finding replacements.

Can't help you with the sheared bolt problem but I"ve been there a few times.
