Evinrude 15 (1999) 4 stroke not peeing correctly

My Evinrude 15 seems to have a blockage in the water channel from the pump to the outlet. Even with a new impeller the flow is just a trickle. My mechanic is of the opinion that there is a blockage of some kind and that he knows of no way to clear it without complete disassembly of the motor. Thanks for any input that you might have on this subject.

Maybe its just in the discharge tube itself..easy to check.

Have you tried compressed air in the tube ??

Sometimes, if you "race" the engine while it's in neutral,
the clog will be "blown out" from increased water pressure.
Don't over do this!!

Also, there is a product called "Salt-Away" that can be added
to the cooling water and clear things out.
