"Just purchased a replacement
"Just purchased a replacement motor for my pontoon. The cowling says 115 SPL, but looks like it may not be original decals. Purchased from a Honda Marine dealer in CA. Purported to be a 1987 model year. There is no data plate on the engine and evidently the power head has been replaced since there are no numbers on the "freeze plug" on the power head. Found the following stamped on the power head behind the flywheel: 18615419JU. The wiring harness is a multi plug set with waterproof connectors rather than the older single red plug. It is a 90 degree V-4. The fuel pump has the VRO pump on it but it has not been used, and the lower cowling is not set up with an oil line connection. Any help in determining the year and model will be appreciated."
