evinrude 10835m lower unit locked up...remove help

My 10835m (model # on unit) which says it is a 9.5 hp has the lower unit totally locked up. This web site says it is a 9.9. Whatever, how do I get the lower unit disassembled?
 
10835 is for a 1978 model 9.9 HP.-----ID plate may have been switched.-------If lower unit has 6 screws holding the bottom cap on it is a 9.5 HP.-----Any pictures?
