evenrude e150stlcur alarm codes 1987

my 150 is making a horn sound. it is an intermittent buzzing sound, but not constant. alarm is about 2 seconds on and 2 seconds off. it will clear itself while running but i found if i shut off engine and start it again it will clear the alarm for 2 to 3 min. water coming out discharge ports on rear of leg*is*warm but not hot, i can hold my hands on the*heads at the top end of the block, heads do not seem to hot. oil tank was about 1/2 full before i ran motor before alarms started, i added oil to about 1-2 in. from full, ran motor about 1 hr. then alarms started

There may be an issue with oil flow and the VRO pump or an issue with fuel flow.------Check all fuel and oil hoses / filters.-------Dismantle VRO pump and inspect it.---Inspect vacuum switch if it is installed.

checked vro unit visually, found loose hose clamp on inlet hose from tank where it hooks onto vro unit, is the filter on the end of the vro where the oil hose connects, also what is the plastic tube about 3/4" below vro unit on hose from tank to vro doug
