wont charge batt. looks like

wont charge batt. looks like there has been some sort of fire in past as black carbon deposit on some of the wires as well as on outside off spark plugs. otherwise engine goes good as gold

"This engine has no regulator, just a diode rectifier. Take off the two yelow wires and messure the resistance between them and resistance ti ground from each ofthem. Any readable resistance to ground and your stator is gone. If stator ok, replace the rectifier, but check the wireing system for dammage first!"
