Here are pics of my Vro2 pump I just removed from my 1986 70 hp Evinrude. I have run 87 octane with ethanol in it since 1988 when I bought it. This motor had a replacement powerhead put on in 1988 because of the original VRO failed. So it was essentially a new motor with a brand new VRO 2 pump on it. I just replaced it this year because the sensor failed. So form your own opinions on the damage of ethanol.
