ETEC Spark Plugs

Looking at this site for plugs for my 2009 130. The OEM plugs are not available, but a Champion is offered.

When the dealer did the 3 year service, the plug set of plugs was some $60, the ME price for the Champions are on the order of $10 ea.

The current plugs only have some 25 hours on them.

Should I change the 4 year old 25 hour plugs and are the Champions OK?

The plugs listed in the parts catalog are QC10WEP. That is a Champion number. Champion plugs have been the preferred plugs for Evinrudes for many years.

Why change plugs with only 25 hours use if they are performing correctly

My thoughts exactly. Dealer is saying because of time.

The owner manual says 300 hrs or 3 years.
