Etec 115 E115FSLSIF Pressure release valve location

Hello from France,

I am the happy owner of a Evinrude 115 Etec outboard engine.

In last June, I made a went into a sand bar. While I was trying to get away of it, I reckon I have been pumping sand and blocking parts of the cooling system.

I have replaced the pump.

At "idle", the pisser and everything is going fine, water slowly get hotter and hotter at the pisser and all seems clear.

When I go faster (over 2.500 rpm), the engine overheats. I have read on the manual that there is a pressure release valve that opens when the engine runs over 2.500 rpm. I imagine - may be wrong please let me know - there is sand in this valve and it keeps it of opening at high rpm, resulting to a poor cooling.

The issue is ... I can not find where this valve is. I read and applied what's explained pages 224 of the manual and around, and I still can not see this pressure valbe, hence can not clean it neither check if the problem is there or not.

Can, please, any of you either explain or - better - show on a photo where this pressure release valve is located, please ?

Here comes the exact ref of my engine :

Model/serial n°: E115FSLSIF/4910582
Last error codes read from the EMM :
510 hours : 43 (high temperature)
471 Hours : 37 (water in gasoline) <= fixed
402 Hours : 47 (air temperature sensor issue)
402 Hours : 48 (air temperature too cold).

I haven, off course, tried to find the answer to my question before asking it but was unable to find an answer, would you please forgive me if the answer is somewhere else in the forum.

Thank you very much for your help,

Olivier from France
