error codes, beeping at startup

I have a 2005 Chaparall Sig 290 with 5.0 mercruisers, Bravo-3's. When I start the port engine, it has a hard time idling. Also, about every 30 seconds or so, there are two loud beeps from the helm area. I have no idea what is wrong, but all gauges indicate the engine is opperating in normal conditions, temp is fine, but seems to come up to temp slower than the starboard engine. Oil pressure is fine as well. Other than it not wanting to idle, runs fine. Plenty of oil in the Bravo-3's, just cant figure it out. I took the chance of taking the boat up on step, and even ran it full outright, keeping an eye on the gauges for a few minutes, ran great, nothing over heated, but the beeping never stopped. I am not sure where the diagnostic port is, any help is greatly appreciated.

Idle problem? Time to change the IAC motor and or the muffler. The IAC is ontop of the intake and is about the size of an old 35mm film container, if it is too hot to touch it's definately bad.

The muffler for the IAC is in the throttle body. You will see it it looks like a small sponge pushed down into the casting. Pull it out with a pair of needle nose plyers. After removing the muffler restart your engine, if the engine now idles and the beeping stops, your good. If not replace the IAC.
