ERC-ES Controls, Do I have active trim?

I just purchased a 2023 regal 2800 with the ERC-ES DTS controls. The controls have all the switches and lights for active trim but active trim does not work. I run the set up and everything looks fine but as soon as I start moving the status led flashes red like it lost its gps signal. I am wondering if I actually have active trim or do I need to purchase an external gps antenna or something. My dealer seems clueless as to how this actually works.
