"the fuel was siphoned dry out of the boat last week. after we refueled, boat ran fine up to 3000rpm. it began to but out like is was not getting enough fuel. when the throttle was cut back it ran fine. we replaced the fuel/water separator filter and problem was still there. is this a problem with the fuel pump?"

What is the engine model / yea

What is the engine model / year? Check the main jets. They could be dirty not letting enough fuel pass.

"Joe, There may be a fuel scre

"Joe, There may be a fuel screen in the tank pickup tube (may need to unscrew the vertical tube from the elbow). Also there may be an antisiphon valve in the same elbow. Both may be dirty or clogged."
