"Hi all, ok to the issue, basically the engine wont turn off. The switch works fine, i nailed it down to no power comming out of white at all, therefore i cannot ground it. It's a 115hp 2004. Now is the issue the CDI??? the problem occured as well on the other boat with 200hp v6 but i had no further look there yet. In both cases it occured after changing all wiring with my own one not oem but at the same time the other two engines on those boat's work fine with the new wiring. resistances checked as well.


ANY IDEA??? (please dont tell me i need new cdi without giving me a reason for this happening. lol)"

Had exactly the same problem which was fixed by replacing the cdi (which I got 2nd hand). The advice I was given was that if you cant kill the engine by grounding the relevant connection from the cdi then the cdi is bad. Not what you want to hear I guess."

find the white wire in cdi box
start motor
touch white wire to engine block
if motor shut off, you have a bad key switch or ground somewhere"
