Engine Torque Specs for MCM 170

Go to "Discussion Forum: 470 talk" and someone will probably help you with your question. Be careful with torque sequence on head gasket on that engine. There is a particular way of doing so! Seloc manual for Mercruiser sterndrives will show torque values for that engine in the back of the book somewhere. If you don't have a manual I can look up each specific torque value given in the manual. all the best, Tom

Play if safe when it comes to torque values and torque procedures.
Unless you are providing an exact model number, and unless the person posting info is familiar with this exact model number, this is best if you were to look this information up for yourself, IMO.
There have been errors in both Seloc and Clymers over the years.
Since this is Merc's own engine design, I'd recommend using an OEM manual only, and by precise model number.
