Engine sync feature – I am not

Engine sync feature – I am not been able to turn the auto pilot off.
When I start the slave (starboard) first I can vary it’s RPMS but as soon as I fire up the master (port) the slave RPMs drop to match the master at idle. I have tried every combination of starting up and shutting down – but even with the switch off any time the master is fired up sync light comes on and the slave immediately matches RPMs.
Have pulled and checked the on / off switch and determined it is functioning properly.
Have checked the Crusader web site without any luck finding any more detailed information.
Anyone have a suggestion?

I had a problem like this. It turned out to be the Syn Memory unit and a wire that came off the back of the unit.
