Engine swap

I currently have a 1988 4.3Liter v-6 mercury motor and was wondering if a 2000 4.3 Liter vortex v-6 would use the same motor mount brackets and would the bell housing bolts be the same?? Basically, would the newer motor fit in the same holes and mounts?
