Engine swap aq170 to aq225 Wiring help

"What i have done was pulled out the aq 170 and replaced it with aq225..I was wondering if any body could help me out? The color code on the 170 is different than the 225,could some one tell me what color goes where to where.....they both have 8 wires..thank's"

Pick up a Seloc manu

Pick up a Seloc manual. The manual has wiring diagrams for both engines. The carb engines are pretty easy, keyed power, start power, oil & temp sending, tach., panel power and alternator excitation. Let us know if you have any difficulty.
