Engine stalls upon acceleration

I have a 76, 70HP Johnson that now starts everytime. However when I put in gear and accelerate, the engine stalls out. Does not matter with forward or reverse.
 
It is time for YOU to do the simple tests------------------Do a compression test first !!!---------------Then check to see if you have spark that will jump a gap of 7/16" on each cylinder.----------------Post the results.-----Your motor may be running on just 2 cylinders.
