Ayuh,... On an aluminum tag riveted to the block, just forward, 'n above the Starter...

No tag so I got the casting number it 3970010, pretty sure some one else was in here before I was

Ayuh,... That's the Most common 350 casting # ever used by Chevy...

it dates itself from 1969-1979 from a car or truck best i can tell it is not from 1987
