"This weekend we were on the b

"This weekend we were on the boat and it was doing fine for an hour or so. then we did some wake board runs. after we were dong we stopped the boat and went swimming for about 10 minutes. we left the engine on so it would cool down from the runs. also we ran the blower the whole time. we went to go and the engine turned off and it wouldn't start after that. i have a vp 5.7 gi. in the last two weeks i've replaced the cap, rotor, ingnition module, spark plug wires, spark plugs, fuel filter, and added gas treatment to the tank. i was thinking vapor lock. what do you guys think? oh, she does start fine two or three hours later. what do you guys think about replacing the fuel pump(s) or/and fuel lines."

"do some more testing. I think you will find those pumps very pricey, and you don't want to replace if you don't need. as for vapor lock, can you open the engine compartment a little to allow more airflow? this is usually a problem caused by boat design."
 
you're not kidding on the

you're not kidding on the price of that fuel pump. i did some checking and wow! i don't know what else to test. have any of you had the same symptoms?

Was it flooded??
Sometimes the carburetor will load up when you are idling and when you dropped the throttle it could have choked and flooded it.
Just a thought....
