I just installed a new Volvo 5.7L (vortec replacement) engine into my 1999 crownline 248. I am trying to remount the outdrive, but the yoke is bumping into the engine coupler. I ordered an "alignment tool", but I've never used one. Any tips?

"If the newer VP assemblies align like the older AQs, then all you need to do is ensure that the distance between the transom shield (TS) and bellhousing is equal at all three notches. I made my own alignment tool out of a piece of key stick and a feeler gauge."
