My 90hp 2 stroke makes a whisl

My 90hp 2 stroke makes a whisling noice at certain RPM's under torque. What might be causing this.
 
"Could be an air intake noise,

"Could be an air intake noise, try running motor with air box removed and with upper shroud removed to locate source of whistling sound. The mouth of each carb creates a sucking/whistling sound. My motor is a 90HP 2 stroke and it makes quite a few hard to identify sounds,so I don't much worry about it as long as it runs well. Good Luck!"
