thanks for the help. This motor is currently on my 18' center console. Ihave to opportunity to purchase a newer motor with a 25" shaft. Will this work for me or do i need to stick with a 20"? thanks

"way too much lower unit in the water,results in lower spd,tough steering,heavy pulling to right,.
lower unit could prob be 'adapted'...by inst sht d-shaft,shift rod,and exhaust coupler."
