Engine is hard to start

Hi, I have a 1976 9.9hp evinrude mod 10624G. It runs great once I get it running after about 12-15 pulls. How can I make proper repairs or adjustments to get it to start with at least half the amount of pulls. This process is just getting old

I can not see or hear your motor.----Therefor you have to supply information here.----Does spark jump a gap of 5/16" ( 8 mm ) , yes or no.-----Have you done a compression test ?---Post those numbers.----Is choke flapper closing properly ?----Are you turning the throttle to hit the neutral stop ?
