Not sure of forum protocol but I decided to start new thread because current issue is part of thread "[h=1]Engine miss at idle, installed new carb kit, carb idle screws do not seem to make a difference"[/h]
I rebuilt carb and engine runs great when it runs. I took boat out last and ran great for 20 minutes then engine died. I started up and ran again for short distance then died again. It restarted fine and I went back to dock. Now I need to identify my current issue. I need to work on fuel gauge anyway so I'll be accessing the tank and also checking for water. If anyone knows a good way to check for water in tank, I like to understand that. I suspect fuel not fire but cant rule anything out.
RicardoMarine has responded to me in previous thread that perhaps I have an anti -siphon valve issue so I'm going to investigate this as well but wanted to get a clean thread going on this issue in cass tht is not my problem. Any first steps you'd recommend are welcomed.
