First, thank you for all your help over the past month. No telling how many times I have referenced this site while trying to track down this problem.
I'm having issues on my 1997 Johnson 60 degree motor - J90SLEUC.
It wouldn't idle at the right speeds so I fixed it up by rebuilding the carbs and link'n sync. The last remaining problem is I have to pump the primer bulb to keep it running (problem before and after). So I replaced the fuel pump I premix so I'm not using the VRO pump. I found a pump on Ebay for about $200. Same problem so I replaced the fuel lines and primer bulb. Again the same, so I had my son pumping the primer bulb while the engine was running found something else.
Above cylinder one where the cylinder head meets the casing there is a small bit of oil bubbling. I haven't taken it apart but I'm guessing it is going to be new o-rings. It somehow passed compression.
Could this be what is causing my primer bulb pumping problem?
