Engine cowling fit

I just purchased a boat with a yamaha 250 oxy 66. Unfortunatly it stayed with the owner while transport was being arranged, he continued to use it and several areas were damaged. One is the back engine cowling does not lock(latches work) and he actually cut out parts of the inner cowling to try to fix it. It still wont latch and when it is seated on the lower cowling it is actually resting on the cylinder heads. The front lines up perfectly. Any ideas? Also the engine drips oil from the front lower cowling when the engines are raised

we cant fix what we cannot see...and i dont think we got any body shop people here anyway...you best bet is to look for a used one and its still going to be expensive...post a pic if you can and we will look...i have known too many people that have lost cowlings one way or another...they aint cheap....

is that the inner cowling liner? that's is what the holes where cut in
