I am replacing my old two piec

I am replacing my old two piece rear main seal 5.7 with a new one piece rear main engine and have ran into a problem. I had to get a new flywheel and engine coupler because of the different bolt pattern but the new coupler is about 1 to 2 inches longer than the original coupler. Does anyone know if I am going to have a problem when I put the drive unit back on or will it just slide farther into it? The drive is a SX Cobra. Thanks for any help.

"If I remember correctly, you

"If I remember correctly, you need to change the bellhousing and the starter if you go from a Chev having a 12" flywheel to a 14" (or vice versa). However, either bellhousing should fit the transom shield and, therefore, the outdrive (provided the splines in the u-joints and the primary shaft are the same)."
