Engine amp Outdrive Advice

I have a 1986 Sumerset housebo

I have a 1986 Sumerset houseboat with twin AQ151A's and 290 outdrives. I am wondering what the usefull life span should be for both. I will be pulling the boat out of the water in the near future for repairs and I am now wondering if I should consider replacing the engines and/or outdrives when I do since they are twenty four years old. I've owned the boat for three years now and the engines have 780 hours on them. What are your recemendations?

I'd suggest the usual for the engines!
As for the drives.....; keep up on the drive bellows, seals and O-rings, make sure that the gear oil is clean/free from water, service/replace U-joint bearing crosses, PDS bearings......., and of equal importance, the sacraficial anodes on the drives and the transom shields. (use heat prior to removing the shield anode screws)
As long as there are no corrosion issues, you can expect to enjoy another 24 years from them!"
