"Just changed out the old 40As with somewhat newer 41As...Yes, I know it's not that much newer, but at least these run. My concern is the alinement. I have the V-drives and have found, I'm four (4) degrees out. Have lowered the aft. mounts and raised the fwd., but 4 degrees is as near to alignment as I can get the drive shaft couplings... on both engines.
Questions, How critical is the alinement?
Will the drive shaft universials compensate?
Should I shim the mounts to eliminate the 4 degrees?
